Cohr Silver Steel "The Smile" Ashtray

Stamped and made by Carl Cohr this sculptural ashtray was designed by Hans Bunde in Fredericia, Denmark, in the 1950s. Iconic egg shape, this is an incredibly gorgeous object.

HANS BUNDE was born in 1919. A highly skilled silversmith, 
Hans Bunde designed a vast variety of products in collaboration with Cohr Silver. He characterized Cohr’s design line in the 1950’s as the main designer. Cohr was a Danish manufacturer of stainless steel and silverware - the company was founded in 1906 and produced items until 1987.
