Charming little table lamps made in Finland in the mid-1950s. They sit nice and low on a flat base with solid brass feet and are wonderfully patinated. Perforated brass shade, fluted stem, with a cute little dip in the base. Adjustable shade. Medium Base bulb. Stamped Itsu. Priced as a pair.
12" H x 9" W x 3.5" D
Itsu is short for Itä-Suomen Sähkö, the Eastern Finland Electricity company. The company was founded in 1945, after World War II, and bought by Idman OY in 1961. Much of Itsu’s production had a resemblance to works by Paavo Tynell and Tapio Wirkkala - both of whom worked for Idman OY.
(I prefer to keep my brass objects with their original patina, but they can always be polished up if requested).
