After film school, I began my career decorating sets for major motion pictures where I learned the importance of individual objects in creating spaces that reflect individuality & style. After working as a decorator for an interior architect & furniture designer in Chicago, I launched my own firm, made the Luxe Magazine "Gold List" of interior designers, and headed to New York City in further pursuit of the art & history of design - there is so much to discover!

After years of researching historical design & contemporary markets, Joanna Frank Design Shop LTD was launched in 2022 as a post-covid pop-up in Chinatown that turned into a long lasting love affair with vintage & collectible design. My obsession is Finnish works of design, with a focus on works made by women - I especially adore unique lighting. I also collect ashtrays, ceramics, and anything I personally love - making my shop full of only the best stuff.
