A one-of-a-kind ceramic table lamp by Brooklyn-based artist Cassie Nozil, whose work walks the line between playful observation and quiet social critique. Hand-sculpted and finished in a soft, creamy glaze, the faceted form becomes a narrative object - each side is illustrated in loose blue linework telling a common tale: the husband chills, the kids play, while the wife works. Best of all, they are fish. It’s funny, a little pointed, and very human. Nozil has a talent for distilling everyday dynamics into something charming but not entirely innocent.
The lamp itself is beautifully considered: a sculptural, tapering base paired with a crisp pleated shade of blue that feels both classic and slightly offbeat (in the best way). Part functional object, part conversation piece...entirely unique.
