Check out this incredibly rare work of Murano glassworks, made in 1950 for Fontana Arte during a golden era of Italian design. This work reflects the transition from Pietro Chiesa to his protégé Max Ingrand, who carried Chiesa’s spirit while pushing design even further. The light features bold sections of orange, green, yellow, and blue, all outlined in gold and divided by delicate etched stripes an absolute standout. And I haven't even mentioned how cool a square pendant is!
24" x 24" x 4" H - Overall Height 29"
Pietro Chiesa: Italy 1892-1948): During his time as artistic director of Fontana Arte, Pietro Chiesa designed hundreds of innovative works that showcased exceptional glass craftsmanship and modern materials, due to his time as artistic director at Fontana's stained glass factory. Though modern in style, his work often reflected classical influences. Chiesa also introduced Fontana Arte’s iconic deep blue and green hues and led the company until his sudden death in Paris in 1948, leaving a lasting influence on his successor, Max Ingrand, whose works of glass have become legendary.
